Damn You, Owl City!

So I'm just chillin' in my bathroom, lathering products into my freshly washed hair and jamming out to my Rainy Bus Ride Home playlist when I realize I haven't checked my phone in a while. Just as the playlist shuffles to "Vanilla Twilight" by Owl City, I check my new messages.

And damn, this song has some history with me. Let's establish that first off. It's a song I love to hate and hate to love, a song that I listened to five times in a row on the way to Heather's house and cried the whole way there, a song that makes me hate my life. But it's also beautiful and mellow.

So just as that song starts, I notice that one person stopped texting me and another person started... I knew that song was evil. I dunno, this is a totally trivial and extremely weird connection I'm making, but it's totally there and I see it! Like... gosh. It's almost funny.

And then in the car today, Michael and I discovered how much we love "Rainbow Veins". Which is ALSO IRONICCCCCCCCC. Gosh, Owl City is messing with my mind! How can two totally different songs parallel my issues?! Even more so, I can draw up a giant list of similarities and differences. Actually, I think I might. I don't have anything else to do in Speech, anyways...
